In December 2024, Broadcom became the 12th company to surpass a $1 trillion market cap. In April 2026, Broadcom surpassed a $2 trillion market cap, becoming the sixth company in history to do so. Tan Hock Eng is the company's president and CEO. The company is headquartered in Palo Alto, California. Avago Technologies Limited changed its name to Broadcom to acquire Broadcom Corporation in January 2016. Avago's ticker symbol AVGO now represents the merged entity.
