Founded in 2015 as the successor of the original Hewlett-Packard, HP Inc. is the world's second-largest personal computer vendor by unit sales after Lenovo and ahead of Dell, as of 2024.
The company was formed on November 1, 2015, as the legal successor of the original Hewlett-Packard Company after the company's enterprise product and business services divisions were spun off as a new publicly traded company, Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
